Asian giant hornets are one of the deadly ones in the world among others. Their venom is very lethal and dangerous to humans. More than 1 strung to the human can cause serious health problems. Multiple bites of the large ones can even pose life-threatening. If one can be that dangerous and lethal, then think what 98 murder hornets can do. Without taking any risk, workers of the state department from agriculture started their mission. They have successfully destroyed more than 98 nests and collected the hornets.

There are no reports of injuries during the mission. There are no reports of other injuries as well. The locals were very scared as this is the first discovery of murder hornets in the state. The place of this mission is near the border of Canada, Whatcom County. Apart from humans, murder hornets also pose a great threat to their distinct relative hone bees. Honey bees are very important to pollinate crops and produce honey from their nest. This made the workers take a step against the hornets and start the mission.

Sven-Erik Spichinger said, no one was stung or bitten during the operation. However, we do not want to take chances and collect them as soon as possible. They caught a total of 98 hornets, 13 hornets among them caught alive. The officials are not planning to sell all the collected species. They will donate them to researchers for further study and research. Workers have used many different tools to destroy the nests and collect the hornets. They used foam to trap the hornets in their nests that are high. It helped to asphyxiate all the hornets that are trapped inside including the queen hornet.

The workers are hoping that this will help to prevent the Asian giant hornet from spreading. Capturing them will stop them to get a hold of the Pacific Northwest and keep them at bay. However, they will keep looking for more nests in Whatcom County in different places. Workers are suspecting both Birch Bay and Blaine might contain some nests. They are planning to start the operation soon to these places. It will help to eliminate all the murder hornet threats for the local people.
