Colin Kaepernick has made it clear that he would like to play soccer. Since picking following the 2016 year he has not been, but would the XFL be an alternative? League commissioner Oliver Luck was requested about Kaepernick and that he explained the salary requirements were too large.
“We gave it a thought,” Luck said to NPR, based on CBS Sports. “We’ve got some fairly considerable salary limitations, you absorbed. We are a league, thus we would like to be certain we could be prudent and financially responsible. And the, you know, wages demands that some people, you understand, shared with us in our situation extreme, so we, you know, could not go down that route.”
“We talked with his representative, along with the wages requirements which were broached in that dialog were certainly from our scope.”
Because he asked for $20 million to combine the Alliance of American Football, this is not something new for Kaepernick. It is not known if Kaepernick requested for exactly the exact same amount or even more to combine with the XFL, and Luck isn’t certain if he’d think about bringing him in to get a lesser speed.
“I really don’t understand,” Luck said. “That has been over a year ago, so that I really don’t understand what type of shape, you understand, Colin is in. Also, we have not followed that since of course, again, we need it. That is, you know, pretty much a requirement for our occupation.”
The NFL encouraged the former 49ers quarterback in the Atlanta Falcons headquarters into a workout facing 25 teams. Kaepernick chose to get a workout in a high school in the Atlanta region.
“I have been prepared for three decades,” Kaepernick stated to reporters following the workout. “I have been denied for 3 decades. Why I came out here, Most of us know. [I] revealed it now. We’ve got nothing to conceal. So we are awaiting the 32 owners, 32 teams them all stop operating. Quit running from the reality. Quit running in the folks.
“We are out here. We are all set to perform with. We are all set to go anyplace. Jeff Nalley, my representative, is prepared to speak [to] some group. I will interview at any staff at any moment. I have been prepared.”
